International Journal of Toxicology (IJT) publishes peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary articles and incisive reviews on contemporary issues in toxicology, as well as safety assessment, novel approaches to toxicological testing, mechanisms of toxicity, biomarkers, and risk assessment.
IJT serves as a forum for articles that promote basic toxicology research or facilitate and improve toxicology practice.
The journal offers six annual issues, with three supplemental issues each year devoted to contributions from the Cosmetic Ingredient Review Expert Panel. The official journal of the American College of Toxicology, IJT serves academic, industry, and regulatory toxicologists, as well as toxicology consultants.
International Journal of Toxicology is a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
