The American College of Toxicology (ACT) hosts its hallmark event, the ACT Annual Meeting every November. The Annual Meeting is an opportunity for toxicologists to network in-person with peers and attend educational courses and hands-on Workshops and Symposia that deliver state-of-art toxicological science supporting human safety, innovative technologies, and regulatory science.
ACT outreach programs continue to support the field of toxicology throughout the world and our grants provide financial support to attend our Annual Meeting and encourages student participation in the College’s activities. ACT has established an Endowment that funds opportunities for young scientists and ensures that these educational opportunities remain available to future generations. To learn more about the Endowment or contribute to this legacy, visit the Endowment section of the website. During the year, ACT offers members and nonmembers a variety of in-person courses and on-demand eLearning opportunities, as well as topical webinars and podcasts. We also offer a preparatory course for those intending to take the American Board of Toxicology examination. Our online platform, interACT, facilitates networking and collaboration among ACT members. On interACT, you can access member contact information, read past issues of the ACT quarterly newsletter, ACTimes, learn about career advancement programs or participate in our Mentorship Program. And explore new career possibilities by visiting the Career Center. ACT also seeks to advance the field of applied toxicology by contributing to scientific literature. Our official journal, International Journal of Toxicology, publishes timely manuscripts on contemporary issues in toxicology. If you are interested in learning more about submitting a manuscript or subscribing to the Journal, check out the Journal section of the website.
